Water Heater
Services
In order to maintain a sufficient hot water supply, Just Plumbing recommends taking the time to consider your hot water heating system. By doing so, you will also learn ways to cut your energy costs.
- Electric Water Heaters**
Electric water heaters are the least expensive style of water heaters and they carry a stigma of being less efficient than gas or tankless; however, purchasing a model with a higher energy factor may make up for the higher sticker price.
- Gas Water Heaters
Gas models cost more than electrics. But on the basis of national-average fuel costs, a gas water heater will cost you about half as much to run as a comparable electric model.*
- Tankless Water Heaters
Tankless Water Heaters are suitcase-sized units that heat water only when needed by using an electric coil or natural gas to heat water passing through a heat exchanger inside. They eliminate the risk of tank failure and the energy lost by constantly reheating water.
- Hybrid Water Heaters
Hybrid water heaters have an electric storage heater paired with a heat pump that extracts heat from the air and uses it to help heat the water. Hybrids can use up to 62 percent less energy than a standard water heater, for an average annual savings of about $320.
